The nearby city of Newport is hosting its annual Seafood & Wine Festival this Thursday, February 20 through Sunday, February 23 starting at noon each day. The popular festival showcases more than 150 premium wines from the Pacific Northwest region and features a wide range of meals and produce from local artisans, chefs, and other culinary professionals. Just head on over to the Newport Marina with your appetite and cash on hand to enjoy this seafood and wine extravaganza that is just a short drive from our conveniently located beach vacation rentals. Lincoln City is about 25 miles up the Oregon Coast Highway from the town of Newport.  

Mardi Gras at the Beachcrest Brewing Company

Beachcrest Brewing Company is hosting a Mardi Gras party this Saturday, February 22 and Sunday, February 23 with delicious food and live music for partygoers of all ages. Hot Sorcery will be serving creole Cajun food from their food cart as the Matt and Amy White Quartet perform from 7:00-9:00 PM on Saturday and Patty George and Friends perform from 4:00-7:00 PM on Sunday. You can find Beachcrest Brewing Company in the Salishan Market Place in Gleneden Beach, Oregon, just south of Lincoln City.

Hands-On Cooking Classes at the Lincoln City Culinary Center

The fabulous events at Lincoln City’s Culinary Center are reason alone to book one of our beach condo rentals. Lincoln City is fortunate to have this cutting-edge center where Culinary Manager Donna Riani and Culinary Assistant Larayne Higgins regularly take guests on gastronomic journeys that end with new skills learned and a delicious meal to enjoy. This Saturday, February 22, they are hosting a Hands-On Bacon Class from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM with a menu featuring bacon and cornbread stuffed pork, chicken with sourdough croutons and bacon, baked oysters with bacon, roasted cabbage with bacon gremolata, BLTA salad, bacon jam, buttery dinner rolls, and bacon apple tart. They are also hosting a Hands-On Gluten Intolerant Latin American Class on February 29 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM with a menu featuring shrimp ceviche with tostones; chorizo and manchego croquettes; chicken picadillo empanadas; steak, caramelized onion and blue cheese tostado; corn tortillas; tequila beans; onion and tomato curtido; and gluten-free white chocolate cupcakes with chocolate ganache.
