Lincoln City’s Coastal Air Quality Offers Guests a Place to Breathe

While the air quality throughout much of Oregon remains unhealthy, the team at A1 Beach Rentals is pleased to report breathable air in and around our beach house rentals. Lincoln City, Oregon is currently experiencing air quality considered “moderate” to “good” with the Air Quality Index (AQI) forecast predicting an AQI as low as 17 in the coming days. To put things in perspective, many localities throughout the state of Oregon have recently experienced air quality readings between 300-500 on the AQI scale and remain dangerously smokey. Thanks to the onshore flow returning to the coast, one of the best places to be in Oregon is one of A1’s beach vacation rentals. Lincoln City is truly offering local Oregonians a place to breathe.

Lincoln City Becomes the Place to Escape the Smoke

Many evacuees that came to Lincoln City to flee the fires in nearby towns including Otis and Rose Lodge have found that the air quality here is making it possible to rest, relax, and even enjoy some outdoor activities without discomfort or health concerns. There are still concerns about the Echo Mountain Complex Fires in Lincoln County, but firefighters have been able to maintain the fire line from spreading further and evacuation orders have either been lifted or downgraded throughout Lincoln City. It’s now possible for locals to go for walks, visit the beach, and enjoy local cuisine. Authorities are still encouraging non-locals to wait until the fires are contained to vacation in Lincoln City, but with weather cooling down and precipitation on the way, it’s safe to say visitors can once again book a stay here within the coming weeks.

Lincoln City Beaches Will Provide a Respite this Fall

The first day of fall this year is just around the corner. September 22 will bring a season of cooler weather and all the fun of autumn, making it a great time to get away from it all in one of A1’s coastal homes or beach condo rentals. Lincoln City is expected to have better air quality than much of Oregon for weeks to come, and the 7½ miles of beaches with plenty of room to spread out and walk around continue to make it one of the safest places for a vacation or long weekend.

If you’re considering planning a trip to Lincoln City in the future, contact A1 Beach Rentals today to see what options are available. This stretch of the Oregon coast is bound to be a breath of fresh air.

Lincoln City Beach House Rentals Spared from Fire and Sheltering Evacuees

The team at A1 Beach Rentals is grateful to report that all of their people and properties, including all 26 beach house rentals, have been spared from the Echo Mountain Fires. Residents and business owners all throughout Lincoln City had fears of losing it all, and the team at A1 certainly shared those fears as the fires raced towards town. It is saddening to hear of all the homes that burned just over the hill, but one silver lining is that some evacuees have been able to find solace in A1’s beach vacation rentals. Oregon is going through a tough time right now, but the local reactions have been filled with random acts of kindness and the onshore flow is bringing clean air back to Lincoln City.

Stories of Kindness from Lincoln City

Members of the A1 team were out with hoses ready as the Echo Mountain Fires threatened Lincoln City. While the fire never made its way to town, many from nearby towns such as Otis came to stay in Lincoln City as the conditions were not safe for them to return. One of the largest properties, The Pirate’s Lookout, was able to shelter 21 people (more than is normally allowed for vacation rental) during these extreme and unexpected circumstances. Many smaller beach condo rentals were available for evacuees, as well. And while the fires are now nearing containment, the stories of random acts of kindness continue to pour in. One example is a property owner, who resides in California and almost lost her home to fires last year, who sent a $500 gift to the person who cleans her property in Lincoln City to help offset evacuation costs. Many different people and organizations spring to life immediately and started organizing donation drives and other relief efforts, and such stories of generosity continue pouring in as the firefighting and cleanup efforts continue.

What You Can Do to Help

Want to know how you can help those affected by these recent fires? The Lincoln County Emergency Management website now has a donation and volunteer section you can visit to learn more. There is currently a need for cash donations. If you are in or near Lincoln City and would like to personally drop off a donation to help those affected by the Echo Mountain wildfire, many local churches and charities are currently accepting donations. The Lincoln City church community has also opened a central distribution center in the Lincoln City Outlets for those in need of donated supplies, but this is not a donation drop-off center. Call (541) 265-0621 to inquire about donation pickups and volunteer opportunities. As these efforts continue, there is no doubt Lincoln City will be back to its glorious coastal state in a short time. The good news is that air quality is already better here than many other parts of Oregon, thanks largely to the onshore flow, and it continues to improve every day. Dazzling Days and Starry Nights Await at Big Oregon Beach House Rental

A1 Beach Rentals is overjoyed to welcome guests to all of our Oregon beach house rentals once again. With the reopening of lodgings throughout the state, including beach vacation rentals in Lincoln City, vacationers have a variety of options to get away from home and enjoy the wonders of the coast. The Starry Night on NW Jetty Avenue is one of the largest and most elegant properties available for rent on the coast of Lincoln City, Oregon. This 4-bedroom, 4.5-bath home can sleep as many as 11 people with the ocean just a short stroll away, making it perfect for family reunions and larger groups looking to enjoy the beach for a few days. Keep reading and imagine yourself in this massively dazzling property!

We’ve always been serious about cleaning, but A1 Beach Rentals is working harder than ever to make sure our properties are clean and sanitary. You can rest assured that your Oregon Beach House or Condo rental is spotless!

The Beach is the Always the Biggest Draw

The Starry Night offers views of the white water and sandy beaches only 200 yards away at the Roads End State Park. This state park features a nearly hidden cove just north of Lincoln City with space for strolling, views of rocky islands, fascinating tidepools, and access to the headland. With smaller crowds and less wind compared to beaches in the center of town, this is truly a hidden gem in the Lincoln City area. Just make sure to head back from the lowest cove area before the end of low tide so you don’t get stuck for a few hours! The rustic and concealed nature of Roads End is all part of this beach’s charm, though.

A Bed for Every Beach Lover – and Much More

This expansive coastal estate offers much more than easy access to the beach. As many as three cars can park at the property and even the entrance and front door are inviting for guests upon arrival. From there, visitors walk into the main floor featuring a living room and fully stocked, gourmet kitchen with a dining table that seats 10 in addition to a pub table with two chairs and three stools at the kitchen island. The upper level features four stunning bedrooms including one king bedroom with a full bathroom and jetted tub, another king bedroom with a shower in the bathroom, a queen bedroom with a shower in the bathroom, and an additional suite with three twin bunks. A total of four bathrooms are found on the upper level, as well as a washer and dryer. A convenient half bath is found downstairs near the living room that features a gas fireplace and sleeper sofa for additional guests. But that’s not all. Wi-Fi is available throughout and the living room is equipped with multiple televisions featuring HDTV and a DVD player, while the game room features air hockey, ping pong, and a pool table. The deck featuring a hot tub with ocean views is like the icing on the cake.

A Final Note on Ensuring the Safety of Every Guest We’ve always been serious about cleaning, but A1 Beach Rentals is working harder than ever to make sure our properties are clean and sanitary. You can rest assured that your rental is spotless whether you book one of our cozy beach condo rentals or one of our larger estates like The Starry Night. We make sure every surface is sanitized and all linens are replaced, and we strive to exceed the CDC’s COVID-19 guidelines. It’s also important to note that Roads Ends State Park is asking visitors not to travel from too far away to enjoy the beach, to turn around if the beaches seem too crowded, and – as always – to pack out all trash that is brought into the park. If we all do our bit, we can enjoy the beaches, leave them as we left them, and keep each other safe. We look forward to welcoming you soon!

Outdoor activities such as these are wonderful ways for individuals, couples, and families to get out and explore nature while still practicing social distancing from the home-base of our meticulously cleaned and sanitized beach home and condo vacation rentals. Agates: Semiprecious Stones from the Sea

Semiprecious stones include such natural wonders such as amber, aquamarine, emerald, jade, onyx, opal, pearl, topaz, turquoise, and many others. While most semiprecious stones are formed on land, others – such as pearls – are formed in the sea. Agates are unique because they are formed on land within holes inside volcanic rocks (similar to moganite and quartz), but because they form near the sea, they are first released into the water from nearby crumbling rocks. Then it’s only a matter of time until they wash up onto the shores of Oregon and Northern California. While most agates aren’t worth a whole lot of money, they are stunning to look at and can be used to make unique pieces of jewelry and other beautiful creations. It’s also just a whole lot of fun to hunt for them!

Not All Beaches Are Equal for Agate Hunters

Lincoln City has long been known as one of the best places on the Oregon Coast to hunt for agates, coral, and jasper. Even the experts at Oregon State University agree. With lodging options ranging from cozy beach condo rentals to vacation homes that sleep 16 people, your whole crew will also be accommodated in Lincoln City. If you’re looking to visit a few areas in your search for agates, Lincoln City is also a great place to start. Your best bet is to head south and stop at Beverly Beach and Moolack Beach (which are also known for fossilized mollusk and clamshells) before continuing on to Depoe Bay and Newport. Depoe Bay is a particularly good place for a day trip, as it is also known as the “Whale Watching Capital of the Oregon Coast.” But you don’t need to leave Lincoln City and its 7½ miles of pristine beaches to see all sorts of sea creatures and find all sorts of sea treasures that have washed ashore. You could spend days just exploring this particular stretch of coastline. Lincoln City’s intertidal zones, where tide pools thrive, are also particularly wondrous around Roads End State Park in the north side of town. While there are still plenty of bookings available, it’s a good idea to act fast if you want to get your perfect beach house rental in Lincoln City this summer. The secret will soon be out that this is one of the best places to get away from it all on the Oregon Coast. Whether you’re most looking forward to hunting for agates, exploring the tidepools, or just enjoying a cool beverage from a hot tub with ocean views on the deck of your rental, A1 Beach Rentals has got you covered. Call (503) 232-5984 or simply book online today.

June Brings Good News for Oregon Beachgoers

The beaches officially reopened in Lincoln City in May and lodging was able to resume as of June 1, making it possible for visitors to return to our vacation homes and beach condo rentals. Lincoln City not only saw beaches reopen during this phase, but many parks and recreation areas reopened as well. Restaurants, bars, and retail outlets are also able to welcome diners, drinkers, and shoppers once again with new guidelines in place. The reopening guidelines for such businesses include spacing tables 6 feet apart, limiting the number of people inside at a time, and requiring employees to wear face masks. These added precautions should ensure a safe, healthy, and fun summer for locals and visitors alike on the Oregon coast.

New Lodging Protocols to Ensure Your Health & Safety

New sanitation and social distancing protocols were put in place when lodging and other businesses were allowed to reopen in June, and we are committed to meeting and exceeding these guidelines. Rooms are to be left empty for 24 hours between visitors, and vacation rentals are to be meticulously cleaned and sanitized before a new guest arrives. The cleaning staff is wearing masks and gloves, sanitizing all surfaces with CDC/ EPA approved disinfectants, washing linens with approved disinfectants at recommended temperatures, and replacing all unused linen and terry before a new guest arrives. We are also offering remote check-in to encourage social distancing. Your health and safety are our priority.
