The nearby city of Newport is hosting its annual Seafood & Wine Festival this Thursday, February 20 through Sunday, February 23 starting at noon each day. The popular festival showcases more than 150 premium wines from the Pacific Northwest region and features a wide range of meals and produce from local artisans, chefs, and other culinary professionals. Beachcrest Brewing Company is hosting a Mardi Gras party this Saturday, February 22 and Sunday, February 23 with delicious food and live music for partygoers of all ages. Hot Sorcery will be serving creole Cajun food from their food cart as the Matt and Amy White Quartet perform from 7:00-9:00 PM on Saturday and Patty George and Friends perform from 4:00-7:00 PM on Sunday. 2020 Beachcombing “Exploriences”

Over the next few months, visitors are welcome to stop by the SW 33rd Street Beach Access in Lincoln City at specified dates and times to embark on a beachcombing “explorience” in search of agates, gemstones, jasper, petrified wood, and other oceanic treasures that wash ashore. A local expert will guide you during the approximately one-hour clinic, which does not require any sort of fees or pre-registration. Just show up ready to explore! The 2020 Beachcombing Exploriences are set to take place on February 1 at 9AM; Wednesday, February 5 at 1PM; Saturday, February 15 at 9AM; Thursday, February 20 at 2PM; Sunday, March 1 at 9AM; Saturday, March 7 at 2PM; Sunday, March 15 at 10AM; Saturday, March 28 at 8AM; Wednesday, April 1 at noon; and Saturday, April 4 at 2PM.

Winterfest Siletz: River of Dreams

The famous Siletz Bay Music Festival takes place in Lincoln City every summer and the organizers of this event have expanded to form a nonprofit that puts on musical events throughout the year to fund the big summer festival.
