Start Planning Now for Valentine’s Day on the Central Oregon Coast

With one of A1’s cozy beach vacation rentals, Lincoln City can be the perfect place to spend a weekend away for Valentine’s Day. The awe-inspiring coastline alone is reason enough to visit this bustling seaside town for a romantic getaway, plus the fact that A1 Beach Rentals offers a host of charming and luxurious beach condo rentals. Lincoln City will also be buzzing with dreamy activities to keep you and your special someone busy (should you even decide to leave your snug cottage or condo for the day!). Here are a few of the top date-friendly options for an idyllic Valentine’s Day getaway in Lincoln City, Oregon:

The Classic “Long Walk on the Beach”

Easy access to beautiful beaches is one of the main reasons people book our beach house rentals. Lincoln City, Oregon is home to 7½ miles of beaches from Road’s End State Recreation Site in the north to Siletz Bay National Wildlife Refuge in the south. So, wherever you’re staying, you are sure to be near a beach to start walking hand-in-hand with your better half. Whether you’re in the mood for a pleasant stroll or a more challenging trek, the natural environment of the Central Oregon Coast will accommodate you. There are even ample pieces of driftwood to sit and watch the tide roll in when you’re in the mood for a little break.

Antique & Collectibles Week

Lincoln City is marking Oregon’s 160th anniversary of becoming a state with a special week to spread the city’s story and celebrate antiques and collectibles that bring us back to those early days. There will be special deals and offers at the city’s 15 antique stores representing 100 different dealers, an icon exhibit courtesy of the Beaverton Modular Railroad Club, an appraise-a-thon, a new pop-up Antique Faire, and a special Glass Float Drop just for this week! An extra 300 glass floats – all Japanese antiquities like the original glass floats that washed up on Lincoln City’s beaches more than a century ago – will be hidden along the beach for finders to keep.

Valentine’s Demo Class at the Culinary Center

Book your tickets now and make your way to the Lincoln City Culinary Center at 6pm on February 14th for a special cooking class in honor of Valentine’s Day. This fun, two-hour event will begin with a demonstration of how to cook a delectable supper, ending with a meal including wine for you to taste the finished product for yourself. Bring your date or simply bring yourself and meet other foodies along the way.

Live Music Throughout Valentine’s Weekend

There is always something musical going on during the weekends in Lincoln City, and the weekend following Valentine’s Day (which falls on a Thursday this year) will be no different. Salishan Resort will host two Music is Instrumental events over the weekend: a live piano recital with Mei Ting on Friday the 15th at 7:30 pm and a silent auction featuring Ural Thomas and the Pain on Saturday the 16th at 4pm. The Beth Willis Rock Duo will also perform at Chinook Winds Casino Resort from 8pm to midnight in Chinook’s Seafood Grill.

In addition to everything named so far, there is a host of restaurants, wine bars, cafes, brewpubs, museums, shops, and other pleasant places to spend time with someone special in Lincoln City. There will also be an additional Valentine’s Day Glass Float Drop on February 16th and 17th with 50 red, white and pink floats hidden along the beach for you to discover during a leisurely walk.
