February 5-15: Antique Week

March 20-25: Festival of Illusions

Towards the end of March, when many visitors come to Lincoln City for their Spring Break, the Festival of Illusions brings an air of magic to the night air along this stretch of Central Oregon coastline. From Beach Rentals to Art Studios, Lincoln City Has It All!

When out-of-town visitors are getting ready to check into one of our beach rentals on the Central Oregon Coast, they often ask what there is to do in the surrounding areas of Lincoln City. And the answer is that the possibilities are virtually endless! It all depends on your interests, preferences, mood, budget and the time of year. Three of the first suggestions we usually make, however, are to hit the beach, head down to the recreation center, and have a hands-on experience at one of the local art studios. Once you’re checked into one of our beach rentals, Oregon hospitality and the state’s beautiful central coastline will do the rest!

The Beach

The beaches in and around Lincoln City, Oregon are known as some of the most exquisite on the west coast of North America. Locals and visitors alike enjoy beachcombing for agave and Japanese fishing floats, or exploring the tide pools for treasures and seafood harvesting. Most importantly, you’ll be able to sample a whole lot of beer!

Neskowin Valley School Harvest Festival

If you’re looking for an activity that’s fun for the whole family, head to the 33rd Annual Neskowin Valley School Harvest Festival on Saturday, October 3 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. The annual event will feature children’s activities, live music, a silent auction, an artisan market, great food, and beer from Pelican Brew Pub.

“Nature Impressed” Art Exhibit Opening

Is fine art more your thing? The Lincoln City Cultural Center will host an opening reception for an exhibit entitled “Nature Impressed” on Friday, October 9, from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. The exhibit will feature the work of four artists working with natural printing techniques on clay, glass, paper, and wax materials.

Fall Kite Festival at the D-River Wayside

This twice-yearly kiting event returns to the D-River Wayside this Saturday, October 10 and Sunday, October 11 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. You will find a world of fun for kite enthusiasts right on the beach in Lincoln City, and admission is free of charge!

The Maxwell Point Tunnel of Oceanside

While Oceanside is a popular area of the Oregon Coast, the tunnel that goes through Maxwell Point is much less traveled. The tunnel itself is dark and mysterious, but once you make it to the other side you’ll find one of the most unspoiled beaches around with access to a variety of hidden areas perfect for cuddling.

The Oregon Coast’s Famous Viewpoints

There are few things as romantic as a private ocean viewpoint, especially if you’re lucky to catch the sunset as the rays of light disappear into the Pacific skyline. Try these spots and you’re sure to set the mood:

· Cape Foulweather. Don’t let the name fool you; there’s nothing foul about this spot near Depoe Bay, which is just a stone’s throw from many of the Oregon vacation beach rentals in Lincoln City. You’ll enjoy unobstructed views to the north and south.

The Pier at South Beach in Newport

If you make it to Newport, you should also make sure to take a romantic walk down the pier at South Beach. Just on the other side of the Yaquina Bay from Newport, you will find access to this pier after parking in the marina area near the south jetty. You may find a few crabbers around during the day, but once the sun starts to set you should have no problem finding a spot to yourselves for some sunset cuddling set to the sounds of distant waves.

The Southern Tip of Cannon Beach

If you head just south of the Tolovana area of Cannon Beach, you’ll find that every street in this quaint neighborhood ends with access to the beach.
