"We have stayed here a few times now, and each time has been wonderful. When you walk into the great room, the first thing you see is the amazing view of the ocean! The house is gorgeous and very well taken care of. We enjoy the sunsets on the deck. Even if the weather isn't cooperating, you can take in the views from the huge bay window in the master bedroom overlooking the ocean. We can't wait for our next stay!!"

"We stayed here for a few days around Thanksgiving as a surprise trip for my mom and dad who have never been to the Oregon coast. The views from this perfectly located home are absolutely breathtaking! The home itself is wonderful too. The bedrooms were very comfortable and my daughter even thought the sofa sleeper was nice. The kitchen was completely stocked with any dishes, cookware you could possibly need, and appliance were new and very clean. In fact, I’m not sure I’ve ever stayed at a better stocked home—dishes, towels, pillows, linens...everything. The only thing they didn’t have was shower products. The hot tub was clean and so nice to get a quick soak in while watching the ocean in the morning. We loved everything about this place and hope to return soon. Thank you for making my parents first visit to Oregon memorable! "

"My friends and I had a great time staying at this house for a short weekend getaway. We only had issues with the dishwasher and the sliding screen door to the deck. We did notice that the seal on the refrigerator door was loose & coming off which should probably be fixed. The house had plenty of space and we felt comfortable. All in all we would stay here again "

During our walk on beach we saw Bald Eagles. We hope to return in the future."

"We had a great weekend at the coast. This property had such nice details like high quality kitchen wares (there was even a stand mixer!?) Multiple King sized (new and comfy) beds made our stay much more enjoyable and the hot tub overlooking the ocean was so lovely even in the wild windy wet and even icy weather we experienced during our March visit."

"Pacific escape was the perfect house for our women’s retreat. The house is beautiful, the view was breathtaking, the master bedroom was a dream, the couch and beds were very comfortable. The only suggestions I would have is we needed dish soap so we could hand wash the larger dishes and one person slipped getting out of the shower on the main floor because there was no bathmat. Other than that this was a five star house."

"Pacific Escape is perfect for a group, but not so much for younger kids. The view, alone, sells the place, and the spacious house has everything you'll need. At one point, we required assistance with the fireplace, and James was there within minutes. It's a bit of a hike down to the beach, but you can drive your car down and park near the beach access. The grand finale, on our final day, was watching a passing whale breach & blow, while birds encircled. The only thing I would change is the stairs' carpeting, from the main floor to the upstairs. (Maybe just extend the existing carpet from the basement?)"

New deck looks fantastic even though it stormed and we couldn't actually use it. I will continue to rent and re-rent this great place; reminder for future renters that it is not real conducive for small children due to stairs and cliff location at end of deck. For the faint of heart, it is located ABOVE the Tsunami zone for peace of mind. GREAT STAY! "

"My wife and I stayed for a few days during our anniversary week. The house is absolutely beautiful and very well done, the weather held up all weekend long. Nothing but bright skies and no wind!!

The first thing you notice as you come through the front door is the beautiful view leading out to the deck and overlooking the ocean. And if it couldn’t get any better than that, the view from the hot tub is even better.

A beautiful house located in central Lincoln city, I would recommend this house for anybody. We will definitely be back with our family hopefully for many vacations to come."

"Our first trip to Oregon, and the house made it unforgettable. This home is as advertised--it is beautiful. The views are unbelievable. The kitchen is well-stocked (oil, spices, vinegar) and it is entirely well-cleaned. The mattresses, pillows and linens are high quality. We all slept well! Earlier reviews mentioned water pressure problems and something about the dining room chairs not fitting--those are not issues. The chairs fit correctly and the water pressure was excellent (and plenty of hot water for 4 showers; easy to do with 3 bathrooms). My two favorite field trips were to Siletz Bay to watch the harbor seals and to the Yaquina Lighthouse to walk down to the beach, watch the harbor seals and listen to the thousands of birds). We loved this vacation and this home and would happily book the same home again."

"First time ever going to Oregon and we are from TN. We usually prefer beach destinations so decided to change things up and make a it a west coast beach beach. I absolutely loved the weather with highs around 65 and lows around 55. No air conditioning needed. Lincoln City wasn't overly crowded. We took a drive to Cannon Beach and it was very crowded. I totally recommend staying at Pacific Escape. This may sound silly but we love putting meals in a crock pot and fortunately the house had one. The only item missing was a grill. "

"The views are amazing, especially from the second floor master. The house needs a thorough deep cleaning and some maintenance. Some items noted: kitchen cupboard doors are sticky from years of built up grime, downstairs toilet handle needs to be replaced, oven was not cleaned before we arrived and the mess left on the bottom kept setting off the fire alarm when we tried to make a pizza, all bathrooms have mold in the grout and caulking. Overall we had a very nice stay but service in town is still sketchy at this point from COVID. One restaurant wouldn’t take our order because they were so backed up, another one was closed when they would normally be open, and we had to wait over an hour to get a table at a nicer restaurant for my birthday dinner. Also, there are at least three visible signs/notes in the kitchen area asking guests to please clean and wash a load of towels before leaving. I can understand wanting to get a jump on your cleaning, but your checkout time is 11am (early enough to get the cleaning done) and I don’t want to be reminded the entire time I’m on vacation that you want my help cleaning when I’ve payed over $500/night to stay in your house. The beaches in Lincoln City are amazing. I do wish the house disclosed that it’s a bit of a walk to get to the beach. It’s downhill on the way there but quite a hike to get back. The pictures make it look like you can walk out from the patio area and reach the beach. In reality, this house is perched on a 200’ cliff above the beach. "

Manager Response: I'm so happy you loved the amazing oceanfront views from Pacific Escape! Making sure everything is super clean and ready before each guest is the # 1! Caulk & grout can stain which can happen . Bathrooms are clean and sanitized before every guest. Those few areas will have to wait until a slower time of year when they'll be more time for chipping away old and applying new. I appreciate your "heads up" on items that need attention and will check them out personally with the cleaner. Most of town is up and running but it's been a busy Summer with restaurants and stores super busy. There can be a wait, especially on a wknd. My favorite is Tidal Raves in Depoe Bay. Always a perfect meal, great atmosphere & the oceanfront view is the best from everywhere in the restaurant. Spanish Head also has a beautiful oceanfront view and some really good dining options. Gallucci's Pizza never disappoints. The nearest beach access is 1 mile to the North at Canyon Park . Easy and low beach access. Although no private beach stairs , the view is commanding and panoramic from the living room, kitchen, 2 of the 3 bedrooms and of course breathtaking from the deck & hot tub. Hope you had a nice Birthday at the beach & Pacific Escape. Thanks to everyone for staying.

"We were called at 2:30 an hour and half before check in to be warned that they are aware of a low water pressure issue through the house and can not get a plumber until after our stay. This is a 2 story house one bath down stairs 2 up stairs. When we arrived a cleaning person left a written note asking us to wash and dry a load of towels before we depart because it takes so long to wash and dry. We only had a set of towels per bathroom and 4 for hot tubing for a 4 day stay and 7 people. A toilet wasn’t working, the light in the laundry room went out and it was a dark room. The washer took 1 hour 23 minutes to wash and the dryer took almost 2.5 hours. That’s a ridiculous amount of time to spend while on vacation washing because we didn’t have enough towels. The house was beautiful, clean and all the amenities were quality. We very much enjoyed the view, it was beautiful! The hot tub was very clean and well taken care of. It would have been nice to have a BBQ on the deck. We love to grill. The neighbors and neighborhood were peaceful. "

"Pacific Escape is a wonderful beachfront property. It’s a perfect place for a small group get together. The decor has changed from when we were here before and it looks great! When we had issues with the tv, the management group were immediately responsive and the service man was so very nice and helpful.
The only problem that needs addressing is the water pressure. This is a show stopper. In the kitchen and the showers there isn’t enough pressure to get a flow; it barely trickles out. In the shower, because it doesn’t have enough pressure, the water runs down the same side as shower head and gets all over the floor. I hope this cane be fixed!"

"Overall an excellent property and we will definitely consider staying there again. Our group (2 couples) stayed there for 5 nights in April 2021 and enjoyed it, especially the Master Bedroom size and excellent views. The house has a nice layout that can work for a variety of guests. Our only negatives are: 1) The water pressure is seriously bad. I've seen this in other reviews, and it seems that the property owners don't care to fix this. This may be an instance where the owners installed low-flow fixtures and turned down valves so they don't open as much, but it just results in longer showers. 2) The AC did not work-- luckily we were there in a cooler month, but after 4PM with full sun on the house, the temperature inside got above 75 and the AC system did not function. Opening doors/windows helped cool the house down, but I wonder how it would be in the hottest summer months."

"This house is beautiful with high quality furnishings, well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. The view is incredible. We had plans to visit several landmarks during our 5 day stay, but the house was so nice we only left to grocery shop! As mentioned in previous reviews, the one negative is really poor water pressure in the showers and kitchen. Not a deal breaker for us at all, but did make for longer showers. The house was very clean and we had more than enough towels and other amenities. Previous guests had left a variety of games, puzzles, movies and even food staples. We've already discussed returning here early next year. Thank you for a wonderful stay!"

"We enjoyed our time at Pacific Escape for the most part. The items we felt were lacking/needed changing were as follows:
- Very few cable stations on television
- Chairs around the table were too short to fit under table. Very uncomfortable and unusable.
- limited parking on a very narrow street.
- access to beach was difficult at best.

Although the property management company were very accommodating, I would not stay here again. Beautiful view but hard to access the ocean. If I would decide to stay in Lincoln City again I would be more specific about my preferences as to an ocean front location. Especially at the price.

There are several accesses both north and south but not directly from the house which is high up over the ocean for its incredible views and privacy. "We had a wonderful time with our family. The home is very comfortable and well equipped. Just a few items would improve the stay. Water pressure is horrible so that made showering interesting. The dining room tables do not come close to matching the size of the table. You either need new chairs or a new table since the table is tall. The kitchen needs a deep cleaning. We really did have a wonderful time but I do believe a few changes would be helpful. The beds are very comfortable and the view is spectacular. Thank you. "

"Pacific Escape was an amazing property, very clean and well decorated. We were able to prepare dinners and enjoy lovely evenings on the deck while admiring amazing sunsets.

We had a small problem with water pressure in the kitchen, we called the property manager and they sent someone right over.

I felt when reading about this home that there would have been beach access from the property. "Loved the house and the view of the ocean was spectacular. I particularly enjoyed the sitting area in the master bedroom. The walk to the beach was easy and the kitchen was well equipped. Our trip was cut a day short, when the governor posted the travel ban. I'm sure we could have stayed on, but felt it our duty to head home. "

"The Pacific Escape was just as described, maybe even better! The views from the house were amazing! The family room was great, with the fantastic view, comfortable furniture and a fireplace. The bar in the kitchen was perfect for watching the ocean while eating, our kids loved it.
All of the rooms had comfortable beds and the master suite was especially wonderful with its large windows. Having 3 full bathrooms was a definite plus.
We enjoyed the hot tub every day, multiple times a day. We even saw whales the first two days! Our weather was perfect, but this house would be a great place to enjoy the beach even with rainy weather. We would definitely recommend the Pacific Escape! "

"This was our second time renting this home. It presents with a beautiful view, hot tub on the deck and fantastic views from the upstairs bedrooms. You must be able to climb stairs as this is a tri-level home, but worth the view! The lay out of the house is wonderful for family's with older kids as there is a family room upstairs to keep them busy, but would be concerned with toddlers due to the amount of stairs. "It was everything we hoped it would be, and have come to expect!
We always have a great time, in a beautiful home!
And thats what Pac. Escape is!
Unfortunately, weve also started to expect the home to not be cleaned very well.
My wife cleans houses, has a high end clientele, and knows her stuff.
The cleaning has alot to be desired, and usually does. This time we were extra disappointed as we arrived, the housecleaner was still there 15 minutes past our checkin. We didnt notify A-1 about this, we love this place, but they need to improve the cleaning. Have for years.
But everything else about this home is excellent.
I would like to say though, the light switches upstairs in master bedroom, as well as several around the house are not in the right places. Rather confusing. But im an electrician, and this is something not everyone would notice. But switches not user friendly. In wrong yoke positions.
Some other little electrical issues. Could use a contractor visit. "

"Gorgeous, clean, spacious, elegant home. Incredible views. A bit large for 2 people. Bring your friends! A pleasure to make meals in the kitchen overlooking the ocean. We didn’t want to go anywhere else while we were there, but did enjoy several walks on the beach and a hike nearby. We saw whales everyday of our 5 day visit. Beach access is a short 5 minute walk down the hill. Perfect! The only thing I would change is the noisy 30 minute timer for the fireplace. Other than that it made for a relaxing and indulgent getaway for my husband and I! "

"The rental had everything we needed for a 7 person family get together. The kitchen had ample plates, dishes, mugs, cups, glasses, etc. Every kitchen tool you could need was here, although the coffee maker did not brew good coffee at all. I ended up making "cowboy coffee" on the stove instead. Having a French Press would have been much better but I didn't bring mine this time. The beds were very comfortable and the 2 kids slept on the pullout couch upstairs and were great with that. The decor was beautifully done; it was kind of like Crate and Barrel goes to the beach. Very nice. The deck had several Adirondack chairs and a hot tub. And as I said above, the views were fantastic! The master suite was huge and had enough drawers, cabinet and closet space for several months worth of clothing.
The floors in the kitchen, and the rugs throughout could have been a little bit cleaner when we arrived but during high summer time it's understandable that there might not be time between renters to do a power cleaining.
Overall it was great."

"Our party of six, 2 children and 4 adults, stayed at Pacific Escape in late July 2019. We enjoyed the excellent views from both the downstairs living room and kitchen and the two upstairs bedrooms. We loved seeing whales from the upstairs master bedroom sitting area where all of us would gather each evening to watch the sunset (if we weren’t in the sparkling clean hot tub as the sun set). The master bedroom is very large as is the master bath. The beds throughout the house were very comfortable. There was an extraordinary amount of storage cabinets and closets throughout the home. The very ample linens were very nice quality and clean and fresh. We enjoyed having a large capacity washer and dryer. We used the upstairs den hideaway as a bedroom. The home is large enough to give everyone privacy; the 3 large bedrooms and 3 bathrooms were great. The kitchen was clean and had ample supply of cooking ware and serving dishes. We enjoyed many walks to the beach and the location in Lincoln City was central to the coast, allowing us to take short trips both north and south to enjoy activities. The only negative of Pacific Escape is that the chairs for the dining table are too low to use, so the 6 of us crammed around the island in the kitchen for meals. The dining room otherwise is large, but not useable for eating. "

"Great house. Great Location. Just my husband and I and you would think a three bedroom house would be too big. It wasn't. We had a wonderful time. The master suite is to die for. I am not a cook, but could live in the kitchen facing the ocean all day. The entire house decor flowed together so beautifully. But I would like to say that the master shower head does need to be replaced, poor experience in this one area; otherwise, keep up the good work. Thanks for sharing your home."

"Great home with fantastic views and decor! We were fortunate to have sunshine for being November and even saw whale spots just past the breakers as they were heading south. Wonderfully stocked kitchen, great plush towels and high end bedding. Karen was wonderful to work with at A1 Rental and most definitely will return for another girls weekend this Spring. Only suggestion is that there are several things that could be fixed/repaired for less than $200 and it would most definitely upgrade the character of the home (matching light bulbs in master vanity, broken window shade strings, thermostat cover upstairs won't stay on, simple putty/paint old nail / screw holds), but it does look like a home in progress. Again, HUGE KUDDO's to the designer of the home. We most definitely will be back ! "
