"Three couples over 50 thoroughly enjoyed this home. We were in Lincoln City for the Annual Kite Festival and we could see some of the kites from the front yard. The beach access is close by and it was very entertaining to watch the cars that parked on the beach below us - many of which became stuck in the sand. The dining area/sitting room was perfect for watching the waves, the people, and whales! Yes - we saw whales from the house! "

"Our family loved the stay at Sea Mist! Everyone wished they had more time to spend gazing at the ocean, watching the sunsets, and beachcombing.

My only negative comment would be about the air fresheners in the plug ins. The smell was overwhelming upon arrival and we ended up taking some of them out......almost noxious."

Had some difficulty in adjusting the temperature up. The staples in the linoleum at the door were tacky and kept a tripping hazard at bay. House was clean and beds were comfortable. "Great overall experience. Delightful house directly overlooking the beach in the heart of Lincoln City. Very nice rental, super clean, with everything we needed! Can easily sleep six (just two of us). Upper bedroom requires steepish stairs to climb. You should be aware there are steps down to enter the house from the parking area - not an issue for us but could be for some. Parking area is paved and very nice with immediate access to the stairs descending to the rear of the house. Management did an excellent job of communication!"

"We had a wonderful time at the Seamist. The house was clean, the beds were comfortable and the view was stunning. For me the best part was the couch in the dining room area where I could sit and watch the ocean. I must have at there for hours! My 8 year old daughter enjoyed all the games and we especially had a good time playing Jenga! The walk to the beach was short and easy and we spent a lot of time there as well. I was impressed with the linens on the beds and was oh so comfortable. We didn’t do a lot of cooking because we ate out but they have a coffee pot that uses regular coffee not k-cups, so I would bring that next time. The fire place in the living room was so cozy and we used it a lot. There is also a smart tv so you can log into your Netflix or HBO and watch TV, there are also live channels. We would definitely stay here again! I love this house! "

"A charming updated older home with a killer view. We very much enjoyed our quick getaway to the beach after being stuck in ice in the valley. The house is amazingly located right on the beach and dining room extension is a perfect place to curl up and just watch the ocean. The three sleeping areas worked well for 4 adults and 2 kids. The gas fireplace is a real plus during a winter visit. There was plenty of comfortable seating for all and good TV options. The beach access is so close and we had a couple opportunities to run down to the sand. The kitchen is adequately outfitted, although it might be time to update some of the chipped dishes and older pans. Also be aware that this is above the only 150 ft of beach access where vehicles are allowed in Lincoln City during the winter. it's closed to vehicles in the summer. It was a little disconcerting to see vehicles doing donuts on the beach while people were walking by. The A-1 staff were very responsive and made the process of booking and checking in very easy. "

Highlights of our stay were the McMinnville area museums and wine tasting and the whale watching center at Depoe. All of the little communities are so scenic and friendly. Delicious seafood dinner at Kyllo's and the chowder at the Horn Public House in Depoe was the best I've ever had. I'd love to do it all again."

House is starting to show its age as we had to call for service on a few items (one that left main bathroom inoperable) the management team was very pleasant and easy to talk to. I do recommend investing in some plumbing bathroom upgrades for the price and location it was economical."

We walked on the beach each day, went shopping at the outlet stores and antique shopping downtown. I expected the kitchen to be supplied with better tools and equipment. Every knife was dull and there was no coffee grinder. The property management company was professional but not as friendly as when I stay at an Airbnb."

"We absolutely loved staying at this location. It was a very short walk down to the beach. The view from the property was breath taking. We enjoyed walking to grab food at the BBQ place down the street. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of space for our group of 6. The general condition of the place was good. Well maintained and cleaned but a bit of an older build (absolutely nothing against that). I also locked myself out of the property and received wonderful customer service.

The Thai spot, M&S(?)Thai was very good. I was just down 101 about a mile or 2. Excellent location, about 25 yards from the public beach access ramp."

"You simply can’t beat the view - seriously. Panoramic view of the Lincoln City beach, and you can literally walk miles in both directions. Not only was this little house comfortable and well appointed, but they’ve thought of all the little things you don’t expect but really appreciate... like the cute basket of kids tub toys in the upstairs bathroom, or the footstools and cotton blankets near the loveseat overlooking the beach, making it the perfect spot to cozy up with a book. Small touches went a long way to enjoying our stay. Beds were both very comfortable; linens and towels were excellent. Thank you!! Highly recommend and will most definitely be back!"

Right on the cliff above the beach, with access just a couple properties away, quiet residential street. 1929 cottage nicely remodeled, glass-on-three-sides dining room/sitting room with forever views of the coast, adequate kitchen, nice towels, and comfy furniture. Property management very responsive. CONS: Property shows some deferred maintenance (window shades in downstairs bedrooms/baths need replacement, broken ventilation window-handle and missing slider-screen in dining room, missing screen in upstairs bedroom, main downstairs shower needs mold removal (all on owners' winter maintenance agenda). 14 steps down from parking area to entry deck, and another 5 steps up to entry door. Steep steps to upstairs suite. Some cleaning detail needed. All minor quibbles in view of the monster coastal view and overall property quality. 9/10 "
