Recent Reviews About This Property

"What an amazing home in an amazing location. Could not have been a better place for our family of 4. Home was clean, and had all the kitchen tools we could want, and more. I would absolutely recommend this home. We will be back when we come to the coast again.

These is a short walk to the beach, but it is certainly manageable. We spend most days in the large recliners over looking the beach, or in the hot tun enjoying the surf. Master Bedroom with the windows looking at the sea was incredible."

Tyler K. from Medicine Hat, 05/26/2016

"The house was more than we expected! Very nice!"

Dallas V. from Finlayson, 06/24/2016

"Arrived with family ranging from 14 to 100 years of age. We loved the view and the openness of the house. My father was able to set at the large front windows and watch the family on the beach. The large dining table was the center of wonderful meals and fun filled games. The kitchen was a joy to work in as you were always part of the group. Thanks for a wonderful stay."

from Ashland, 07/11/2016

"Such a great view from the large, ocean-facing windows! Lots of room, bathrooms and cozy, quiet bedrooms, with a large, open great room/kitchen to fellowship in. Manager Karen is incredibly pleasant and accommodating! Close to town and attractions, steep walk to beach and lots of stairs in house; nice stretch of beach, lots of seals, even some whales! Pier 101, WildFlower and J's are excellent restaurants; DON'T MISS the SUMMER GAP gift shop for the most unique and beautiful gifts at the best prices; loved it! The Aquarium and glass blowing lessons are also great. House needs maintenance and thorough cleaning."

from Rio Rancho, 08/15/2016

"We departed Portland with temps in the 90s. Excruciatingly slow drive to the coast and found clouds, mist and temps in the low 50s. The home was difficult to find. The garage was very large so we were able to unload bikes inside. There are not safe family bike routes in Lincoln city. You share Hwy 101 with logging trucks

The home has a large foyer with wall hooks and a closet. The open concept main floor has west facing oceanfront views and we saw whales swimming not too far offshore. There is a large table and island for dining and jigsaw puzzles. A gas fireplace took the chill off. There are 2 tvs. The cupboards are full of dishes so there is little space for food items. It was super to have a washer and dryer.

Basement bedroom has 2 singles and an ensuite. Upstairs are three additional bedrooms with queens and two baths. Master is oceanfront and has tub in ensuite. Comfortable bed. We left the windows open and slept to the sound of rolling waves.

Outdoor porch was used only once as it was too cold and windy to sit out. Hot tub was difficult to turn off and cover was very heavy and hard to remove. No bbq due to wind and blowing it over.

Manager dealt promptly with issues raised. Could use a teapot still and ice cream scoop. Came with many vhs tapes and DVDs, games, puzzles, novels and magazines. There were places inside to retreat to for "me" time

We took our teenagers to the outlet mall for back to school shopping, flew a kite, had a campfire, looked for shells and lava rock. Ate good Mexican food. Mo's is overrated and chowder has butter on top! Peach cobbler was more like pie and peaches weren't fresh although in season. Main Street is dumpy. Recommend the side door Cafe in gleneden. Prefer the beach to the town"

from North Vancouver, 09/04/2016

"We loved our first experience in renting a vacation home. The home and view was fabulous. It was a little rough for the older family members to get to the beach but other than that there were no complaints. We had a battery in smoke detector start chirping on a very high ceiling. I called the company and they were there within 30 minutes to fix it. Much appreciated. We will return for sure. Thanks for a great time."

Stephanie H. from Amalga, 09/23/2016

"Enjoyed a long weekend at the Seabird with 7 family members ranging in age from 25 to 75. Property management were very responsive and even ordered us perfect weather! The view was amazing, beds were comfortable, and house was clean. Wifi worked great. Tankless water heater meant enough hot water for everyone. Visit was a splurge, but oceanfront view was worth the extra expense.

A couple hints - there are classic VHS tapes and DVDs. No bluray. Stop by Red Box at Safeway or Walgreens in Lincoln City for current titles or bring your own.

Bring extra paper towels if staying more than a couple days. Roll provided is small.

If stairs are an issue for you, this may not be the best place for you. That being said, a senior in our group just took the one flight slow and was fine.

If exterior of windows are fogged up, use hose by spa to make them clear.

There are two forks in road. First one, go right. Second one, go left.

Enjoy your stay! We loved ours."

Michelle H. from Tigard, 09/30/2016

"Dramatic ocean waves and blue or gray skies filled with clouds ever changing are the constant views from the walls of windows, rooms, & deck of this wonderful beach house set high on the bluff offering amazing privacy. We bring all of our food & adult beverages, enjoy the centrally located open kitchen, relax, & "be". Walks on the beach delight. Bring a Hoodie as the Oregon Coast tends to be windy!"

LUCINDA B. from PORTLAND, 11/30/2016

"We loved the view and proximity to the beach, having the Seagull visit every morning was fun for everyone. There was some difficulty finding the location and parking at Seabird was a challenge at times."

Dennis O. from Eureka, 01/01/2017

" This is a great place to spend a day or a week at the coast. Whether it is storming there or sunny, this house gives you the view you are looking for. Beds were comfortable, the kitchen complete. "

Alexe B. from Lacey, 03/14/2017

"Nice view and location
Well stocked kitchen
Comfortable beds
Good value
Minor issue with the toilet not flushing on the main floor

Josette S. from Moses Lake, 04/11/2017

"If you are looking for a beautiful home with gorgeous views then the Seabird Cottage is the place you want to stay. It was a beautiful home with plenty of space and comfortable beds.

The access to the beach was a very short walk and we enjoyed the beach location very much. It was fun to walk along the beach and also to look for and find agates.

We would recommend the Seabird Cottage to anyone and we will probably stay again next year when we come again. "

from Richland, 05/05/2017

"We had a beautiful time as we do each year coming to the Seabird Cottage. We come each year to see together and make fun memories. Also we come this time of year to remember my Mom who loved to come to the beach with us. She is truly missed, but this once a year beach trip is fun for all of us to gather and make new memories! Thank you, we love this house. The floor to ceiling windows are what makes this place so amazing with the view."

Cheryl S. from Washougal, 05/11/2017

"Lovely view and perfect location. The walk down to the beach is steep, so that should be called out. There is a strong damp/moldy smell in the first level that should be addressed. Good for the price point.

Therasa H. from Arcadia, 06/26/2017

"The rental experience was great because it was about family. It was close to the beach and we loved it form sons visit from the NAVY.
The only issue was that the family that stayed before us left bar-b-que sauce on dishes put away and the beds had a lot of stuff underneath."

Ti L. from Beaverton, 06/27/2017

"Our extended family of six spent 5 nights at Seabird Cottage and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. The central living space was gorgeous, and the bedrooms were all comfortable. The hot tub and the gas fireplace were great in the evenings, and we loved the Seagull (Bob) who visited us every day.

The eclipse was pretty cool from Lincoln City (minus the fog!!), and the Seabird Cottage gave us the perfect vantage point.

We took the kids into the Taft district and made paperweights and a float at Jennifer Sears Art Glass Studio, and made fused glass plates at Mor Art Fused Glass Studio. Both were five-star experiences!

A1 Beach Rentals was wonderful; we had a small problem with the gas fireplace, and they came immediately and fixed it."

Rachel C. from Vancouver, 08/24/2017

"Fabulous house! Wow we loved it! View is stunning.
Pros: Bright, light, not a cluttered, dark, beach house like all the others. As a parent of young kids, I REALLY appreciated this house's minimal feel - it's not packed with beach **** and trinkets.

If you have small kids: bring two simple expandable baby gates and a bunch of cheap outlet covers.

Con: my biggest complaint was the cleanliness actually. We paid $1200 for 4 days (3 nights), and our instructions included taking all sheets off beds to be washed (not bed spreads), and all towels piled and started in wash, and "leave kitchen as you found it" (clean). For $1200, it seems like a legit cleaning service is not a lot to ask... I understand they are trying to pack as many guests as close together as possible time-wise, but having to literally scrub the kitchen and also wash sheets and towels was a lot with small kids AND shelling out $1200 for 4 days. A hotel is cheaper and doesn't ask this of guests. My biggest problem was the bedspreads - they're gross... like pretty dirty ... the basement ones (we did not sleep in basement so I only saw them the last day) had crusted-on fluid on the top of them ... absolutely gross. Under couch was filthy so moving couch for kids to play was out of the question.

Rebecca H. from Camas, 09/06/2017

"Beautiful experience with whales, dolphins and seals swimming by. Our morning coffee was enjoyed by a visiting seagull who greeted us each morning. This house was a delight to stay in and will look forward to another visit.

Lynelle H. from Boring, 09/19/2017

"Very nice view and house."

Karen H. from Clarkston, 10/05/2017

"This year the third year we have stayed at the Sea Bird and it is truly the best vacation house we have ever found. There is a gorgeous view of the ocean and the house itself is bright and sunny. It is just the right size for our group of seven. "

Madeline S. from Battle Ground, 10/11/2017

"The house was beautiful and included all the conveniences of home! It was easy to sit and enjoy the amazing views!!!!"

Bobette R. from Lewiston, 11/19/2017

"Seabird delivered once again - and was even a little better than before! This time, many items were well stocked (paper towels, dish detergent, foil, Saran Wrap) - not sure if the previous renters just kindly left their stock (as we did last time), or if those items are routinely stocked now, but it made our stay that much more enjoyable.
The house was clean and ready for us, and other than a minor thing we didn’t care about at the time, everything was working. I appreciate there is a number for questions/concerns posted right on the fridge, and the people who answer are very pleasant.
My only issue is actually the mattresses ... but it may just be that my mattress at home is exceptionally comfortable. The springy mattresses cause my back (and my husband’s) to ache and it’s the only detail keeping us from booking week-long stays here. Of course I’d love tempurpedic mattresses, but Seabird is AMAZING even without them! "

Rebecca H. from Camas, 12/04/2017

"We’ve been bringing our daughter’s family here with us for Christmas every other year since 2011. The grandkids (from Colorado) get so excited they start counting down the days till arrival weeks ahead. The house has recently had maintenance, is well equipped with kitchen appliances, and has a view that simply can’t be beat.

Terri E. from Salem, 12/29/2017

"The house is fantastic and everything you could want. Management was very attentive when we found propensity the upstairs wall heaters and fireplace. The views are first rate. "

from Olympia, 01/06/2018

"Beautiful home with fantastic views, however we had to check out a day early due to two windows leaking with blowing rain coming into the house. The fireplace was not working as it should."

from St Helens, 01/24/2018

"I chose Lincoln City for my 70th birthday celebration. I chose a house on the beach so we could look for the hidden glass floats. We(myself, two sisters and two daughters)had an excellent time. The house was perfect! Looking forward to returning to Lincoln City!"

JOANNE S. from Rathdrum, 03/02/2018

"This was our fourth stay. Won't be our last. We had a great time as always. It always goes too fast. Thank you for providing this great house. It's perfect for the girls getaway. "

Ann M. from Longview, 03/27/2018

"Came to Lincoln City for our yearly get together with our siblings and their spouses. This is the second year we have stayed at this property and we loved it again. Perfect size for the eight of us and the view is beautiful! I even get attached to the seagull that visits us daily. The beds are comfortable and it is just a beautiful home. I do have to say also that your movie selection is impressive. We didn’t have the time to watch any but would have had many good options if we had. Thank you for sharing this home with us. "

from Richland, 04/17/2018

"We go to Lincoln City for our Bunco get away yearly at least. This year we saw whales!! Totally amazing weather and had wonderful time with great long time friends. We will be back next year if not sooner."

Kathy I. from Vancouver , 05/08/2018

"We come here every year for our girls beach weekend and just love this place. It is always clean and ready for us. We love the beautiful windows that give us a gorgeous view.
Granite countertops and a huge table we can all eat at. Hot tubbing while it sunsets is amazing.
We also set up sewing machines in front of the huge windows and quilt. This IS our go to place to stay! ❤️"

Cheryl S. from Washougal, 05/15/2018

"The home is comfortable and the view is Million Dollar. 3 couples shared this home and all said the rooms were very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The hot tub was an added bonus. We would stay there again. Only negatives were beach access. Bring your own deck chairs."

shirley f. from Tacoma, 05/16/2018

"Nice home. Loved the view. Large windows and comfy chairs offered a relaxing experience. Ocean view master bedroom with sounds of the ocean was a great way to go to sleep. Loved the hot tub with ocean view. "

Tabatha W. from La pine, 05/29/2018

"This house was absolutely perfect in every way. The views are stunning, the layout was nice and spacious and we were blessed with a week of sunshine and cool breezes. We saw a whale breach twice right in front of the house along with seals and our daily visitor the gull that we fed cheerios to several times a day....he was always waiting for us! It was also a perfect location for day trips up and down the coast. We really hope to return again. "

Stephanie D. from Cleveland, 06/04/2018

"Seabird Cottage was perfect for our family of 7 and just as described on the website. The views were stunning and the layout of the house was ideal. Had one question while there and A1 was quick to respond. Upon arrival, we were a bit surprised by how small the two TVs were - but we never turned them on!
Highlights outside the home included hikes to Cascade Head (amazing view and well worth it - just a tad difficult on the way in. 7 year-old daughter moaned a bit on the way up, had a blast on the way down) and Drift Creek Falls (favorite activity of the week for 50% of our group), pontoon boat on Devil's Lake for 2 hours, kite flying on the beach, and tide pools at both the Yaquina Lighthouse and Roads End (both must dos.)
View was so beautiful we cooked in most nights. Picked up Bay Thai one night and it was very good. Had lunch at Tidal Waves - the view and food were excellent."

Dane F. from FLOWER MOUND, 06/18/2018

"Seabird Cottage was everything we hoped it would be. It was perfect for the beach and our family's stay. The home was clean, comfortable and in a great location. We made great use of the hot tub, fireplace and whale watching from the deck and living room. We took home incredible memories."

Deb S. from Tempe, 06/28/2018

"We had a group of 6 staying at this home in late June. We loved the amazing kitchen/living area with views of the ocean from every window. And also the views from the deck area. We used the jacuzzi each day we were there as well. Plenty of space for a group of 6-8 adults. The owners/A-1 Beach Rentals were very quick to replace a stove that had an oven quit working - they contacted us Tuesday morning, before we arrived to the property, to let us know the oven had died. They ordered a brand new stove and it was installed on Thursday, and because we didn’t have an oven for 1.5 days, they provided us a BBQ grill to use. We appreciated their attention to the situation and trying to provide us an alternative while the stove was being replaced. The property was very clean and cared for. "

Michelle J. from Kennewick, 07/08/2018

"Our family of 8 enjoyed our stay at the Seabird Cottage in Lincoln City, OR. The house was nicely furnished, but best part was definitely the view!"

Lyle H. from Harrington, 08/27/2018

"This was a great place for the four of us. Plenty of room for the chef, we each had our own bedroom and bathrooms. The house was clean well-kept, you need to bring your own groceries and spices Etc. But overall a great experience wonderful light and Airy. Close to everything we wanted to do."

CAROL N. from STEILACOOM, 09/15/2018

"There were 5 of us ladies getting together for our annual Girls Gone MILD getaway. This is all about unplugging, relaxation, connecting, laughter and good food. The Seabird was ideal for our get together! We loved the open kitchen and living room with awesome ocean views! We played games on the large kitchen table, cooked delicious meals in the well supplied kitchen and each found quiet places to sit for reading or reflecting. The hot tub produced many great conversations and was used daily. It was pretty warm (maximum 104 degrees) although we all thought it would have been nice if it was a little hotter. We walked the beach to coffee at Pacific Grind and went across the street from there to Rejuvenation Spa for the best massages we have ever had! The ONLY complaint we had was the downstairs bedroom with the two twin beds was dirty. The carpet had not been vacuumed for awhile and there were spider webs and spiders throughout the room. It was also very dusty. We put in a maintenance order asking that it please be cleaned for it seemed like it has been overlooked for some time. The Hospitality App was very convenient for reporting maintenance issues as well as having all the information regarding this rental at our fingertips. There was quite the miscommunication regarding the cleaning of the basement bedroom. First maintenance showed up with a web cleaner thinking that was all that was needed. We just decided to clean it ourselves using the web cleaner, and a available vacuum. A1 Rentals called us regarding the bedroom which we appreciated but we had already solved the issue. Still, at approximately 2pm, a cleaning lady shows up at the door for the bedroom. We again stated it was already taken care of. It just seemed like they may have been trying so hard to resolve the maintenance issue they received through the Hospitality App they forgot to communicate to each other what the other was doing that they were stumbling over each other."

from Spokane, 09/30/2018

"We had a wonderful time at the Seabird Cottage. It was the perfect spot and spa like atmosphere for our girls' weekend!"

Erika S. from Austin, 10/23/2018

"We loved it! Just what we wanted! And the view was amazing!! Would definitely come back again!!"

from Parma, 12/30/2018

"Overall excellent location, incredible views. "

from Lakeview, 01/07/2019

"We were lucky enough to have fabulous weather in January. That along with staying at the Seabird Cottage made for a perfect family weekend. The place is big and spacious and has the most gorgeous views. It was clean, well stocked and had everything we could need. I've also stayed there before with my girls was perfect then too! I will definitely be back. :-) "

Carrie B. from Eugene, 01/29/2019

"Love seabird cottage. Think this was the sixth time staying there. Short drive to everything. Easy to get a cab if you don't want to drive. Beautiful view of ocean. Would definitely recommend it. Already looking forward to next year. "

Ann M. from Longview, 03/13/2019

"The home was just as described: beachside, beautiful, and clean. Everything was perfect - the home is updated, plenty of bedrooms, great kitchen, hot tub and fireplace. Loved waking up to the beautiful ocean view each morning and looking at the sunset or stars at night from the hot tub. Thank you for making our stay easy and enjoyable!"

from Moscow, 03/17/2019

"I rented this home for my elderly parents, myself and my adult kids. All together 6 of us for 4 nights at the house. It was classic Oregon coast weather to be expected. The home itself was totally perfect. Amazing views, well stocked with dishes and cookware. We stayed in and had Thanksgiving in April. We did puzzles and board games. Both are well stocked but missing pieces and not updated or checked on in a long time. The walk to the beach is steep and a little rocky the last 15’ of the decent. The driveway is super steep and you should park inside garage.

Very nice home. Very nice cleansing breath for all involved. "

John C. from Campbell, 04/13/2019

"Awesome home away from home!"

Lee L. from COEUR D ALENE, 04/15/2019

"We come here once a year to celebrate the memory of my mom. Sight seeing, gambling, shopping and beach time is the best. Love the location and the house is absolutely amazing. Plenty of room to sew, craft, eat and the floor to ceiling windows are amazing.
I would only suggest a coffee maker that turns off automatically."

Cheryl S. from Washougal, 04/17/2019

"The property was in excellent condition. The views were spectacular. "

from Prescott, 05/02/2019

"House was adequate for size, way too many stairs. I guess that’s why you have the amazing views. Needs new pans and cooking utensils, everything was peeling and melted, very bad to use pans like that. Baby birds were in the chimney driving us all nuts but better than having people in the house for hours trying to get them out. I’m sure the cleaning crew will hear them. "

from Monmouth, 05/10/2019

"We loved this house! It was super clean and comfortable. The kitchen was perfect for cooking and hanging out. The comfortable chairs by the windows were ideal for watching the ocean waves. Short and simple walk to the beach! Master bedroom views are incredible. Highly recommend to others."

Tim H. from Elkhorn, 05/12/2019

"It has a beautiful, huge ocean view. It is bright and cheery. It is very clean. "

Jo F. from Hermiston, 05/26/2019

"Thoroughly enjoyed our stay as Seabird. Walk to the
beach is a bit strenuous but worth the effort."

from Grand Junction, 07/05/2019

"As a family we truly enjoyed ourselves at the Seabird Cottage. It was everything we wanted for our vacation. The home is located fairly high on a cliff, however, it is well protected by railings. We had our 1 year old daughter with us so we wanted to make sure we were comfortable with her in this space and it was ideal. We loved that Seabird Cottage had children's necessities (beach toys, high chair and towels). The bedrooms were very clean and roomy! Having access to the laundry made the stay very comfortable (again, property managers have all the essentials available for laundry). The hot tub overlooking the ocean was very well used during our stay. The neighbors were quiet and friendly. The kitchen had everything we needed (it may benefit from a few large fry pans).

The views were absolutely breathtaking! Sleeping to the waves crashing outside of your windows is an experience that will never be forgotten. The beach below the property is very clean and quiet. I must say my father thoroughly enjoyed speculating the large wall sized world map home has on display! Overall, the decor of the house makes the home feel homey and livable. The best space was hanging out in the living room/kitchen it was really a special space for a family reunion! We plan to be back again soon!"

from Delta , 08/08/2019

"Five women who graduated from high school 53 years ago reunited to spend 4 delightful days together! The house location was perfect for beach walking, outlet mall shopping, restaurant going and neighboring town exploring. With 3.5 bathrooms and 4 bedrooms, we each felt we had enough privacy. The living area is perfect for late night catch-up conversations. The kitchen is well supplied and allowed us to have long leisurely breakfasts and lunches together. I’ve stayed in this property several times over the last decade and it has been very well maintained, including the hot tub. The only problems included one blind that would not go up and down in the twin bedroom in the basement, the soap dispenser in the diswasher would not close and the was one light out in the half bathroom. All in all , we highly recommend this beautiful home."

from Portland, 10/21/2019

"Our experience was wonderful. Just beware that if anyone in your party has mobility issues, this house will be difficult for them. You need to climb stairs to the main level, and also to any bedrooms. "

Laura U. from Amboy, 11/12/2019

"We had an absolutely wonderful time at the Seabird Cottage! The house was incredibly comfortable with plenty of space for everyone, and those views are just unbeatable. We were also very impressed with the well-stocked kitchen. We had everything we needed to cook a Thanksgiving Dinner!"

from Idaho Falls , 12/02/2019

"Money well spent "

Randy W. from Tualatin, 12/21/2019

"To our family, this is the perfect place to stay at the Oregon coast. The span of large windows across entire living room brings the ocean beaches right in. There is nothing I would change here, with plenty of space, a hot tub, and very adequate cooking facilities. "

Terri E. from Salem, 01/05/2020

"It was amazing. Very relaxing. The home is beautiful, clean and has an amazing view of the ocean. The kitchen and dinning area were perfect for our group of six adults. Hot tub was wonderful. Main bedroom and bathroom has the perfect ocean view. "

Cherry D. from Salem, 01/14/2020

"Loved the open area where the ones in the living room could easily interact with those in the kitchen & dining room table. Perfect size for 8 people. Phenomenal view of the ocean!"

Carol S. from Siletz, 01/30/2020

"Great house in a great location. The views from the deck and hot tub were amazing. House has everything we needed.

Katrina C. from Vancouver , 02/23/2020

"Great view, nice house, fairly easy beach access. My one and only complaint was - I rented the property for the view and the hot tub. The chlorine in the hot tub was overpowering and it lessened our enjoyment and ability to use it. Please consider using a less harsh chemical."

Laura N. from Hillsboro, 03/07/2020

"Seabird is the perfect house for 4 women - individual bedrooms and plenty of bathrooms! All that's missing is better and more chairs on the back deck and a larger TV for our old eyes. Great open concept layout and well stocked kitchen. Excellent customer service as well. We love Seabird!!!"

from Newberg , 03/18/2020

"It was a great location for our annual ladies trip. The views are stunning and the house is very comfortable."

from Portland, 03/24/2020

"It was an amazing weekend with gorgeous views!! The house was in amazing condition and we enjoyed our stay so much. Would definitely recommend this home for groups of friends to stay together at the beautiful beach at Lincoln city. "

Brett R. from Vancouver , 06/16/2020

"We stay at this house at least 4 times a year! We love everything about this house!
The views are spectacular! We are going to have Christmas there this year, we are SO EXCITED!!"

Kathy K. from Portland, 07/05/2020

"Good. Great view and liked the house layout. A few improvement suggestions.
> replace screen door leading to the deck. It's needed.
> replace stereo receiver. It's very old and unstable.
> improve ability to connect blue tooth to the stereo system. The speakers are awesome. The blue tooth connection is very unstable.
> The floors were not very clean. We had to sweep it ourselves.
Washer and dryer very old. New appliances in general are needed"

"Lovely home with spectacular views of the ocean and shore. Spacious kitchen and island, comfy living area with large windows and super views, very nice deck space and great hot tub, comfy beds, clean bathrooms - overall the space had what we needed and everything worked as stated. While the beach is literally below the house, it was a bit of a hike to get there, and a slightly precarious final section of loose rock (maybe 15 feet) before reaching the sand (probably difficult for elderly). Once on the shore - it was amazing, especially at low tide: profusion of purple and orange starfish, bright blue-green sea anemone - better than any aquarium IMO. The house was generally clean, though the main floor could have been better swept. Overall it was a great space for my family of 4 (two adults, two teens) and we had an excellent time."

"We truly enjoyed our stay. The hot tub was a wonderful addition. Close to the beach and our grandchildren really enjoyed the tide pools. My only warning is that the home is more vertical than we thought. Our two year old granddaughter did take a tumble on the staircase. "

"Amazing views, gorgeous sunsets, extremely relaxing. A perfect getaway especially now. "

Amy B. from Seattle, 10/02/2020

"Beautiful house, beautiful location, as usual...the true mark of excellent customer service is a companies response when there are issues..A1 Beach rentals is A1. Karen and James took excellent care of us!"

"A lovely home overlooking the ocean, you can't bet the view. The interior is bright white wood with high ceilings, very open and spacious feeling. A rental property reaches a point where it needs down time for some TLC, I think we rented during this time. The storm door out to the deck was janky, needs to be replaced, the can lights over the dinning table never worked, half the ceiling speakers didn't work, the light bulb was burnt out in the refrig & microwave. If you are going to cook for more than 4 people bring your own fry pans. They did have an electric griddle that helped with making breakfast. Upon arrival, I was a little put out by a note left by the cleaning person asking us to basically wash and dry All the sheets and towels before departing and putting them back into the bedrooms. My question, why are we paying a cleaning fee if we are asked to do most of the work? We followed the instructions that were given to us from the rental agency: we washed and dried a full load of towels and started a second load of sheets. The house truly is lovely."

"Great view, comfortable beds, there were a few things that needed attention but I contacted A1 and they were getting on it. FYI there are a few stairs to climb in the home for those that have difficulty with that but the view is awesome. "

"A Real Keeper! We loved this house--the location, the view, the layout of the house was perfect! We walked the beach every day and really there was no need to go anywhere else! Short drives to Depot Bay or Newport also makes this location perfect. We will be back! Thank you for sharing the home and all it has to offer! The host was professional and helpful. "

"This home couldn’t have a better view! It’s spacious and functional for a wonderful weekend away with friends "

Michelle G. from Camas, 12/22/2020

"The house has superb views!
It was very clean and welcoming on arrival.
The bathrooms are well stocked with towels and the kitchen is extremely well-provisioned with dishes, utensils cooking & cleaning equipment.
It would be difficult to do anything but relax and enjoy being in such a setting. We look forward to our return to Seabird Cottage. Thanks especially to Karen and her partner at A-1 Beach Rentals for their professional service and to the housekeeper for attention to precautions w/r/t Covid 19. Both the management & cleaning enhanced a wonderful stay! Thank you."

Karen Q. from Portland, 12/30/2020

"This home is clean, spacious, beautiful view of the ocean. We had a group of five adults staying here and there was plenty room for everyone. We would definitely stay here again."

from Damascus, 02/09/2021

"Lovely house, fab view, very clean, comfy bed, nice features, and nicely decorated. Would stay again in a heartbeat. Big for just 2 of us, but would be perfect for 4-6 people, plenty of room. Good location. Definitely recommend to others."

Marsha B. from Woodburn, 02/19/2021

"Beautiful location right on the ocean with fabulous views. House layout is fantastic with open main living space on level 2 and bedrooms on levels 1 and 3, two of which have en-suite bathrooms. Plenty of kitchen pots/pans. An extra roll of paper towels in the kitchen would have been nice since there wasn't much left on the one roll that was there, but that's certainly not a huge deal! "

"We stayed for four nights with my parents and my boyfriend’s mom plus our two children. We had a little trouble finding the house because it was dark and maps took us to the lower road. The written directions are in the description in the email but may need to be pointed out as we missed them. I tried calling and had a hard time getting ahold of someone due to lack of cell service. Once I got a bar and called it was easily found with her directions. The house itself is amazing and the view was perfect. I was pleasantly surprised to find a high chair in the garage and it was a huge help. The notebook in the living room mentioned Frederick the seagull and he did not disappoint. My kids loved looking for him every morning. My baby now calls all seagulls Frederick. The kitchen dishes were very well stocked. All the beds were super comfy and so were some of the pillows. We will definitely look at this as an option next time we head to Lincoln City. "

Rachel M. from Gig Harbor , 04/09/2021

"I will never rent a different house again! Everything about this house was absolutely perfect. The view was amazing, everything is updated and there was more then enough space for our group. I want to go back to the coast just to stay here again. We didn't leave the house once during our stay except to walk on the beach. There was no need to. I honestly can't say enough good things about it. If you want your stay to be perfect, rent the Seabird Cottage. You won't be disappointed."

Nicole A. from Canby, 10/15/2021

"House is full of natural light, cozy and roomy. The customer service at A-1 rentals is superior. "

from Lake Oswego , 11/03/2021

"We always love our trips to the Seabird Cottage. I've been going for year and it's my favorite home on the Oregon coast. This year it was stormy and we sat in the comfy chairs and watched the storms roll in. It was magical and just what we needed."

Michelle S. from Vancouver, 11/09/2021

"We have been staying at the, Seabird Cottage for many years, it is, "Our Beach House", we love it!"

from Prosser, 11/09/2021

"As usual, the house was spotless, the view spectacular, and the rental process was flawless ...we miss the 3:30 check in, but, understand the need of that extra time to clean"

Patricia O. from Portland, 11/10/2021

"The house has a good open floor plan and lots of space to spread out. Get ready for a leg work out because with 3 stories you will be climbing a lot of stairs. It’s also a hilly trek to the beach and the access is not accessible for small children or anyone who can’t climb on rocks. The house could have been cleaner and there were a few things needing attention like broken blinds, a wobbly dining chair, rust on pots and pans, etc. there was no cleaning supplies for the kitchen like sanitizing wipes or a bleach spray to use on counters after cooking and only exactly 4 garbage bags and 4 dishwashing pods for our 4 days. With CoVId I would have liked to see more focus on cleanliness. I was horrified when I stripped the bed on the last day to find a mattress cover and pillows covered in stains. If you arrive at night be prepared to get lost on the gravel road to the house. "

from Eugene, 01/12/2022

"The place was so amazing. Plenty of room for our family with tons to do inside and outside. "

Stephanie L. from Honolulu, 01/18/2022

"This house is absoluty perfect! Until the alarm went off for the sewer pump. The alarm was down in the garage. I personally diagnosed where the sound was coming from.. And James and his wife came over and tried to fix the problem. I am concerned that I was charged $180 for a a cleaning fee... There were towels in the dryer and greasy pots and pans in the cupboards.. Their COVID cleaning procedures need to be addressed!"

Cathy K. from Saint Helens, 02/19/2022

"You think the pictures look good? Wait until you walk up the stairs and see the amazing view and beautiful house. The house had everything we needed from comfortable beds to wonderful recliners to look out the windows, to the hot tub. Add a pair of binoculars to the house and it is perfect! "

from Bend, 02/27/2022

"We will continue to stay at Seabird. The house is beautiful and the view is amazing!"
