"It was amazing. We celebrated my Special needs sons 41st Birthday here. They had the best set up in the kitchen everything you would need. The bedrooms were clean and very comparable. The whole house was exceptionally clean. Lots of space for my 3 year old granddaughter to rome. The view of the ocean was spectacular. Loved the huge fire place in the living room. Our family has been threw a lot the last few months and this is just what the doctor ordered Thank you."

"I can't say enough about the house and can't say enough about the ladies at A-1 Beach Rentals. We had a medical issue with one of our guests and I thought we might be forced to cancel with only 7 days notice. Most rental companies probably would have ripped me to pieces but A-1 were concerned for the health of my Father In Law and never once seemed angry or mean hearted. Luckily my Father In Law was well enough to go & celebrated his 70th as planned. The house was perfection. I tell people it's the house you envision when you think about renting a house on the beach. It really is! Right on the water, the grass is green, plentiful outdoor seating, bbq, you name it. The inside of the Beach Lodge was amazing. All the wood work is phenomenal and the history of the house can be found walking down the hallway. There's plenty of room and there's not a bad room or view in the house. Outstanding property and outstanding people at A-1 Beach Rentals. We will forever book all our coast getaways with A-1. "

"A great home but has a few issues. The grill does not get hot enough. The oven has heating issues. I think that maybe a burner is out. The graffiti in the attic loft had some very obsene things written. The heating situation in the bedrooms can make it uncomfortably cool at night because the heaters are on a timer and can only be on for one hour. Don't think it would be a problem during the summer, but during the winter it can get a chilly in the bedrooms. For a large group, the kitchen is a little small. Besides all that we enjoyed our stay there."

"We had a great trip. We have stayed here a few times. This time we did have a weird heating issue. The heat was not consistent throughout the main floor ever. It seemed to stay cold for a long time and then it would heat up all of the sudden. The fireplace had always been a great heat resource but this time the fire stayed on for 10 seconds at a time. No matter what we did to the control. It seemed to not be getting a consistent stream of gas. Also we really appreciate the new stove but the burners were very inconsistent with the pans offered. Seemed like it took a long time to heat up but when it did it would quickly burn. Maybe just difficult to get used to.

Other than that, it was a great trip yet again. We do love the house and will be coming back for sure. "

"Due to various issues for several of our group we were unable to fill this large house as we had intended. But, it would easily have accomodated 15. It's an intriguing home with lots of nooks and crannies. It was clean and comfortable. The beds were nice and the kitchen contains just about everything thing by way of dishes, glasses and cooking equipment you could possibly need. Although it is very small we turned out several meals everyday with no problems. Only warning regarding this house would be the stairs. Although there is a spacious living room, bathroom and bedrooms on the main floor, if your group wants to spend time together you will need to be able to climb stairs. The view is indescribably beautiful and the managers are 100% available and more than happy to help out with any problem large or small. Our final rating is 10+. A great time was had by all!"

We loved it... This is a note for the homeowner and doesn't need to be included in the review) The stove top burners were hard to turn off. Pulling out on the handles, which you needed to do to turn off the burners, meant taken the knobs completely off. Toilet paper was hard to fine."

"We were a party of 16 (grandparents, parents, and children) and had a great time. We enjoyed having a living room with enough seating for all of us, but sometimes also used the upstairs living area if we were doing separate things. We brought along a folding table to add some additional seating for 6 people during meals, as the main table maxes out at 10. Everything was clean and well-organized. The kitchen was stocked well: good-quality pots and pans, enough plates, bowls, silverware, serving spoons, spatulas, etc. We appreciated the close and easy beach access. We had no problems and would stay here again."

"There are so many positives to this house, but know that it does need updating. Bbq is charcoal, at this price point and size of house, we expected propane. The pillows and beds are old (pillows should be replaced smelled of past guests, but true of most rentals these days). Rooms are nicely furnished and there is room to spread out if you have a big family!! The bed configurations worked great for us... and the kids loved exploring the hidden spaces (although that area really needed a through cleaning). The kitchen is very small, so plan accordingly for cooking (only two people fit comfortably at a time) but we loved the pass through "window" so you could still talk to others while cooking. Unfortunately the previous guests looked to be "indulging" and left it so dirty that the team was still cleaning when we arrived for check-in...and the smell never really left the house. It was musty and smelled like last night's party - our cloths still smelled of it when we got back home and even clean items had to be rewashed. I don't know that it is always that way, but for us I think everything needed scrubbed and washed...top to bottom. The location is great though with shops, candy store and a seafood restaurant within walking distance (also recreation Marijuana which might explain the condition and smell from previous guest). I beach is amazing and we loved exploring at both high and low tide. We enjoyed our time but it wasn't without drawbacks. "

"What a wonderful house for large gatherings! We had a group of 13 employees from our company and spent 2 nights with plenty of room (as long as you don’t mind sharing beds). There are two large living rooms, one downstairs and one upstairs (both with huge windows and absolutely phenomenal views), so we could easily have different activities happening at the same time. The house is charming with warm wood finishes and copper beams! There is relatively close access to be able to walk on the beach, but the large yard and the unobstructed view is amazing! We enjoyed watching the waves roll in, listening to the surf, and experienced gorgeous sunsets! We even saw a few whale spouts! The house and its location were even better than we expected from the photos in the advertisement ws!! We will be back! I just can’t recommend this property highly enough!"

"We had 3 generations of family staying for a week — from grandkids to grandparents. This house was PERFECT! So much to do that we hated leaving it! The fenced yard was great for the kids, the kitchen was amply stocked with everything we needed, the laundry facilities were helpful, good water pressure in the showers, plenty of space to spread out.

The view was GLORIOUS! We watched a pod of whales from the upstairs deck for a couple of hours one day. The attic spaces kept the kids entertained and the guys loved the big screen tv for sports! It is very difficult to find a suitable house that’s not horribly expensive that can accommodate a group such as ours, but this house fits the bill nicely. Plenty of room to hang out in the large living room or in the upstairs area with a very large TV screen, so we can watch the football. Fantastic Ocean views from both the living room as well as upstairs and outside as you are high on the Bluff overlooking the beachwith a bunch of Adirondack chairs."

"the place was dirty, we found otc meds in the window still up stairs, a childs sock hanging from the light over the stair case. Only two people fell down the stairs. The bottom stairs is spaced different than the rest. The kids white socks was soon black.
