"Stayed at the home with a total of 10 women for a girls' getaway weekend. The layout, location and atmosphere of the house were perfect for us. The only issue we had is that it was 90+ degrees in the main living area because it was a warm day on the coast (high 70s outside) and the sun beating in through the glass made the inside of the house pretty unlivable for several hours, and we were told there is no A/C. Still, sunshine on the Oregon Coast is never a bad thing, and we made good use of the outside spaces as a result. "

"For many years we (6-8 women) have stayed at Heathergate. It feels like home to us. Perfect location, and the house size is very nice. But, for the last couple of visits it has been filled up with, what appears to be leftovers from a moving sale. Lots of nicnacks, extra unnecessary furniture that makes the living room cramped. Also, several of the bedroom closets are now locked, so places for clothing is limited. They’ve added a hot tub, but realistically only 2 people can go in at a time. We love this place, but miss its original ambiance."

"This house has always brought lots of fond memories to our family over the past 25 years of renting annually. This is an older home but with some nice remodeling. Located on a dead end road we always enjoy the easy location with ample parking(which some homes do not have), a nice picture window for viewing the ocean, stairs to the sand and close to activities including the casino for Bingo! A hot tub has been added with outdoor solar lighting giving nice ambience. We are disappointed and saddened however, looking at the approx. 50% rent increase for next year same time. Realizing inflation has hit, our pocket books can not keep up. "

The new upscale improvements are wonderful, the bathrooms are very techy for us older women , but never the less are great. The toilet paper could use an upgrade, awfully thin. We hope we can continue to be healthy enough to come for many years. The property was perfect for us, clean, and comfor table, with no problems. We would highly
recommend Heathergate to anyone. It’s also close to the beach, a stones throw and your there.

"Our weekend was wonderful as usual at Heathergate. The weather turned out to be very nice for February. The house was very clean and we enjoyed the upgrades that have been made. Only one thing that wasn't good. The CO2 alarm in the bedroom off the kitchen started beeping after midnight on the last night. Even removing the alarm from the plug-in didn't stop the notification that the unit needed to be replaced. Naturally, several of us did not sleep well at all that night.

"Great character in this old home with updated features. Ocean front with direct beach access is amazing! There are so many amenities in the home. Record player with a great collection of vinyls, books to read, puzzles, foosball, multiple areas to sit and relax watching the view.
Note the 5th bedroom is a single twin with an alcove that has a foam mattress in it, great for kids. The upstairs bedrooms are pretty warm even though they have a window to listen to the waves. Lower bedroom window is super close to neighbors deck so at night you hear them. Back bedroom that is the master has no open window option only a door to the courtyard. Lots of doors... you can see how this house could have been smaller cottages added together. Hot tub is SMALL... house fits 10 but hot tub is best at 2, maybe 3. We loved our stay."

We did have trouble trying to figure out how the heating works.
The hot tub was accidentally unplugged before we got there so we weren’t able to use it right away. Never had tried a Ba Day before....��
We will definitely come back to this house, it is truly a home away from home. My mom was part of this group for many years, we now come down here in her honor as she always loved coming down to the beach and going to the casino, which is so close.

"This house is perfect for a small group of family or friends to spend time with! We relaxed, played games, and did puzzles together. The adults enjoyed going to the casino and the teenagers explored town and went shopping at the Outlets. Almost everyone bought new Nike's as some point. The house has just enough space to hangout together and also room for privacy. The hot tub is small, but so very enjoyable! Sitting outside watching the waves and enjoying the beach air was great. We even used the small fireplace on the patio and the boys roasted dogs and smores. We also bought clams in town and made steamers and garlic bread. The location is perfect. This is the 2nd time I've stayed here with my son and friends and everyone has a great time. "

We did notice the great increase in price from the past years. We are hoping that this will not price us out of our tradition. The smoke alarm battery began to chirp in the night but had a quick response the next day with a battery that was replaced"

"We loved the view, the bidet and mirrors. Someone came quickly to help us with TV set up. The microwave wasn't easy to operate.The hot tub water was oily. The outside stove wasn't clean. There were no eave rain drains so water came into back into door. The bathroom vents were very dirty and the fan in bathroom was extremely loud so every time it was turned on in the night, it woke people in bedrooms, hair dryer didn't work. Dead sea lion on beach below house was never removed and the odor kept us inside and caused an influx of horseflies. We will not rent this house again."

"Just a wonderful rental home! Everything from the view and location to the amenities stocked in the house were perfect. One of our guests consistently commented that the bed was the best mattress he's every slept on. We used the kitchen, the outdoor fire pit, the hot tub and the record player with no issues.

Very nice location. The direct beach access was amazing. Easily able to go on night walks and early morning walks on the beach.

It was short drives to every place we explored in Lincoln City; Sea Hag, Kyllo's, Pelican Brewing, Rusty Truck brewing and Safeway right around the corner.

There was enough space for all of us, and the roads end beach was spectacular. We especially loved visiting the tidepools at low tide. The only item that could be improved was the quality of some mattresses. The king mattress in the downstairs bedroom (north end) was pretty uncomfortable. "

Things that need fixed or weren't was we expected. Phone service is not good, however, the WIFI is. Hot tub appears bigger in picture, it's not a 4 person tub. Parking is very tight for 4, if you have trucks it is even more of an issue.(need to post a picture of the parking area) It takes multiple hours to dry anything, maybe heating element is going out, IDK? We got excited to play a record from the good old days and found out it doesn't work. Needs brighter lightbulbs in the house. A space heater in one of the back bedrooms didn't work. These are all minor things, overall it was a cozy and very comfortable home. We had 8 adults and everyone enjoyed the stay. "

The lighting in the house is darker, great for movies but if you plan on working on a puzzle you might consider bringing your own table lamp. The Foose ball table was a hit with the kids. This house has steps right to the sand! If the hot tub is not working be sure to call maintenance right away to enjoy the lovely view from the tub. "

"Heathergate was Perfect! There was so much room and privacy for all of the adults, plus a fabulous window seat by the fire, and a wonderful play area for the preschooler. A big win for us: The kitchen was open and fantastically supplied and the dining table was big enough for the whole crew to eat together. The beds were super comfortable, the bathrooms were modern and spotless; the sun room was great for games of foosball and for storing wet jackets and sandy shoes. We all spent time on the deck over the ocean, by the lovely fire pit and in the hot tub watching the waves. Absolutely Perfect!!! We are already planning another visit."

"Every year we have a Girl's Trip. We rent a house, do some shopping, and play cards. Very fun for us. This year, the house was spectacular! Everything from the courtyard to the heated toilet seat was amazing! I do need to add that there are 3 rather deep steps from the street to the courtyard that were kinda hard to navigate for our elderly guest, but we made it! I appreciated that everything necessary was on the main floor so that she didn't have to deal with stairs. I would definitely stay here again.
