"Kristy’s Kottage was the find of a lifetime. The ocean view is really as spectacular as pictured - we sat for hours every day and night with the windows open, enjoying the cool breezes and crashing waves. The home is pristinely clean and modern, while cozy and comfortable. We had everything we needed but knew we could contact the property managers if not. The location was ideal for our vacation. We drove to Cannon Beach one day and were so happy to realize that our home base was more isolated, away from the crowds. Favorite activities were walking the beach, and kayaking Beaver Creek (shout out to our fantastic guide Audrey from Ossies Surf Shop in Newport). Favorite meals were Clearwater Restaurant in Newport (complete with sea lion entertainment!) and Pelican Brewing Company at Siletz Bay. Best chowder was a seafood mix at Side Door Cafe (5 mins. from the house). The Tillamook Creamery was fun, free and yummy. I can’t say enough great things about the rental/experience, and highly recommend Kristy’s. We hope to visit the area again with a bigger group and would work with A-1 to find the right property. The only challenge we encountered was the drive to and from the Portland airport; it took longer than our mapping indicated, so consider factoring in extra travel time if you’re using PDX."

"Loved the house and the view. Things to learn were no heat in bath or bed rooms, get up 2 to 3 time a night to turn 2 hour timer back on for the gas fireplace to heat the house. Took a couple of nites, but found the right flame level for a comfortable temperature. Also, lawn chairs and grill were locked up and not available for use."

"We chose Kristy's Kottage because of the location, view, and name (my name is Kristi). Kristy's Kottage is truly a piece of Heaven on Earth! It is cozy with the most breath taking views of the Pacific. The access to the beach could not have more convenient. The fireplace was warm and perfect for sitting beside while watching for seals/sea lions (which we saw daily) and whales (unfortunately, we did not see any), sunsets, star gazing, or reading a good book. The unobstructed view from the windows in the living area was most impressive. The balcony was relaxing with the clear panels rather than slats for watching the waves crash in front of you. Kristy's Kottage was clean, comfortable, and completely stocked--you really did only need clothes and toothbrush/paste. We will definitely recommend Kristy's Kottage to friends visiting the Oregon Coast. "

"This cottage was just what we were looking for. It had a great view of the beach, with soothing sounds of the surf. The house was very comfortable, and the ample, two-level deck was wonderful. It's located in a quiet neighborhood, but has easy access to US 101 and the Lincoln City / Depot Bay area. Only reason for 4-star rather than 5-star rating on property location is, the beach access was difficult/unsafe for us older folks. Not a big problem, as other beach access points are a short drive away."

"We've stayed in several homes on the Oregon coast and this one is nice with a beautiful view. but a couple of things detracted from an other wise nice five days. The bath mat was filthy, it had what looked like a big wad of slime one it that was hard and crusty. makes you wonder what else wasn't cleaned. and there was an aerosol can in the bathroom that had no nozzle on it making it useless. "As we all know, we cannot plan for everything. With news of the Coronavirus disease changing rapidly every day, before my husband and I ever started our "vacation" we canceled our flights and gave considerable thought to not going at all. Ultimately, we packed the truck and a few coolers with food and made the drive from Meridian Idaho to the coast. We have stayed at the coast numerous times, but this time special. Life as we know it had changed a bit, not just for us, but for everyone. I have to say, this property was amazingly clean. Not only visually clean, but a wonderful note stating the detail they had gone through to make sure we knew it was clean.That was the beginning of 4+ beautiful days of reconnecting with each other and the outdoors. The view out the picture window is truly a gift. There was a real comfort about this property. The fireplace warmed the room wonderfully, the refrigerator was cold, the showers were hot, we never ran out of hot water or toilet paper :) and the blankets and linens were soft and clean. "This was the perfect home to daytrip up and down the beautiful Oregon coast or just to sit by the beach with a good book and a glass of wine (Be sure to try the White Pinot!). The beach is never crowded and the surf lulls you continuously. Glorious!
The beach access is less than ideal, as it is a steep climb, but it is right next to the house, so that is wonderful. The pictured deck is not directly available from the house-- You need to go out the front door, around the back, and down a flight of steps to reach it. But once there, the sunsets are fabulous!
The house is immaculate, exactly as described, and fully appointed with everything you'll need for a relaxing stay. We couldn't have asked for more! "

We enjoyed watching and hearing the waves crash into the shore from the big windows in the living room. Took several walks on the beach and collected shells for the grand kids. The home is warm, cozy,very clean and well maintained. The perfect size for 4. We were disappointed to find the home didn't have a BBQ. On the pg it mentioned the owner might be there but there was no one there it looked more like a storage area which in a way it was nice cause we had the home to ourselves. "Started auspiciously enough as the previous renters decided not to leave on time. They stated they were confused about their dates, but the property managers were proactive, called us before we even got there, and had them leave. The property is cozy, perfect for a couple or a small family. View is gorgeous and getting to and from the property is easy. The week we were there there were no more than 20 people on the beach in front of the property, almost like having a private beach. Some previous reviewers complained about the steep access to the beach, but it was pretty easy. If you are over 80 or have any sorts of major mobility issues, getting to the beach could be an issue, but for most able bodied adults and even children is it fine. There is no access directly from the house, you must take the path next to the house. Wifi was strong (even have 2 routers), appliances worked, water pressure was fine. The deck pictured is not on the living level, you have to take outside stairs to access. It is next to a storage room, I wish they would convert that to a game room, maybe a sleeper sofa. No issues with the house, it was a great time. We would come back, but we have a practice of trying new locations every year. While staying at the property I recommend Local Ocean Seafood restaurant in Newport. Also the lighthouse tour there is worth the trip (Newport is 30 minutes south). Also make sure to visit Pacific City (30 minutes north) to the north and the Tillamook Creamery (1 hour north). Portland traffic heading back to the airport can be tricky at any time of the day or week, so add an hour just to be safe. No Uber or Lyft, a good rental car is a must. "My wife, two small kids and I went to Portland to visit my brother but felt we had to get to the coast. We found this place during the 4th of July holiday and booked it for 2 nights. The location was great, right by an entrance to the beach. The house was very clean and comfortable. The view from the house windows and the deck shown in the picture was superb. We saw whales right from the couch. Highly recommend if 2 bedrooms and 2 beds works for you."
