The Central Oregon Coast is alive with Mother Nature’s ferocity during the winter months as waves roll in all the way from Japan to a magnificent ending along Oregon’s many miles of Pacific coastline. Lincoln City’s 7½ miles of coastline sees waves as high as 30 feet and peak winds of more than 100 miles per hour during the height of the season. If you are feeling brave you can get your rain gear on and walk down to D River Wayside or Roads End State Park, or you can view the stormy weather from the comfort of one of our beach condo rentals. Lincoln City also boasts a wide variety of restaurants with excellent coastal views, including The Bay House, Chinook Seafood Grill at Chinook Winds Casino Resort, Fathoms at Inn at Spanish Head, Mist at Surftides, and many more. If you do decide to venture out during a storm, remember to pay careful attention to the weather conditions and heed any safety warnings.

The Calm After the Storm

The beach conditions can be particularly beautiful following a storm. There are always all sorts of treasures that wash up on the shore for beachcombers to discover as well. Seashells and agates are sure to wash up, and occasionally antique glass floats from Japan still wash ashore. Just make sure to use common sense when beachcombing after a storm, just as you should when going out during bad weather. Don’t try to walk down to the waterfront in the middle of a dangerous storm and don’t pick up anything if you don’t know what it is first. That way you can ensure happy memories and enjoy the best that Lincoln City has to offer for many years to come! If this deal on winter bookings in Lincoln City is calling your name, you will need to act fast to get the property and dates you desire. Call or go online today and start planning your stay!

3. Finders Keepers on the Beach

Beachgoers from far and wide come to Lincoln City in the hopes of finding their very own blown-glass float hidden on the beach by “float fairies” between October and Memorial Day each year since 1999. The city will be celebrating 20 years of this ongoing tradition, known as Finders Keepers, by “dropping” 20 unique floats inspired by the new Explore Lincoln City brand along public beaches between Siletz Bay and Roads End on the 20th of each month.

2. Local Summer Festivals & Special Events

With a view that has been described in the guestbook as “awesome,” “marvelous,” “fantastic,” and “spectacular,” there’s no wonder why so many guests leave Seabird Cottage happy. The question is: will you book while this deal lasts? Here are a few reasons to book your discounted summer getaway ASAP.

Seabird Cottage Breathtaking oceanfront views from this private, beautifully crafted Beach home sitting on a quiet dead end. There are 4 bedrooms & 3.5 baths.

It’s All About the Views

As already mentioned, the breathtaking views set this cottage apart from other beach vacation rentals. Lincoln City is already known for its 7½ miles of stunning beaches that are easily accessible and viewable from countless locations, but not all locations offer floor-to-ceiling windows with 180-degree views of the surf, sand, sea creatures, and (most importantly) sunsets. You can also choose to relax in comfort on the oceanfront deck, patio, and hot tub while enjoying these views – talk about a picture of paradise!

A Home Away from Home

With a wide variety of hotels and beach house rentals, Lincoln City, Oregon has its fair share of accommodations for visitors to choose from. Few accommodations offer the beauty, style, and comfort of a home, though. Seabird Cottage offers all that and more with custom trim, hardwood floors, tongue-and-groove white wooden walls, a ‘great room’ with a granite slab kitchen and island, 4 bedrooms, 3½ bathrooms, an oceanfront deck/patio, and a hot tub. There’s also a media room with WIFI, two televisions, DVD/VCR players, and a music center. There’s a good chance you won’t even notice these creature comforts, though, because beach access is just a few minutes away from the front door.

Amenities Galore

It’s true that beach access is the best amenity that money can buy in Lincoln City, but you’ll get a few more amenities to make your stay worthwhile at Seabird Cottage. It’s the little things that make a stay great, after all. That includes things like beach chairs, cable television, Internet access, utensils and cookware in the fully stocked gourmet kitchen, modern appliances such as a dishwasher and icemaker, washer and dryer, gas fireplace, fresh linens, and much more.

So Much to Do

You might find that the perfect weekend at Seabird Cottage consists of nothing more than walking and beachcombing during the day, enjoying the sunsets in the evening, and cooking gourmet meals with locally sourced ingredients in the fully appointed kitchen. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with that! There is so much to do, though, if you’ve got a little bit of adventure in mind. If you’re looking to play on (or around) the water, there is boating, boogie boarding, crabbing, clamming, fishing, hiking, surfing, whale-watching, tide-pooling, and more. Local businesses also offer craft shopping, outlet shopping, golf, movies, sight-seeing, art, fine dining, wine tasting, plenty of fun for the kids, and a world-class casino resort.  What more could you ask for when all of this is available at a discounted rate throughout the end of summer? Don’t wait until every last date is booked up, though – contact A1 Beach Rentals today and look forward to your future stay at Seabird Cottage.
