Here are five more activities to look forward to when summer returns to Lincoln City, Oregon:

Dear Honored Guests –
We look forward to being on the other side of this and hosting you at one of our Oregon beach homes or condos!
  • Hiking. Lincoln City is an excellent home base for day trips to remote hiking areas all within a short drive from our beach vacation rentals. Oregon is filled with forests, mountains, lakes, rivers, streams, and even giant craters to explore. There are also several great trails in and around the city itself. Siuslaw National Forest is home to the Drift Creek Falls trail, where you’ll find a lush rainforest and a waterfall reachable by a suspension bridge, as well as the short and family-friendly Hebo Lake Loop trail that encircles the lake. Cascade Head also boasts a treasure chest of wildflowers and wildlife along two different Nature Conservancy trails, and the Cutler City Nature trail offers a nice one-mile trail with lovely views of wetlands and woods.

  • Kite-Flying. Lincoln City really is famous for many things, and that includes the flying of kites. Every year locals and visitors alike partake in the Annual Fall Kite Festival and Annual Summer Kite Festival at Lincoln City’s D River Beach Wayside. Don’t worry if you’re not in town for these stunning displays of fanciful kites; it’s always a good time to bring your kite or buy a new one to fly on the coast here. The conditions are perfect most days to fly a kite through the skies for long stretches of time.

  • Relaxing. Even if you do nothing but relax in and around your beach house rental, you can still have an amazing time doing next to nothing in Lincoln City. Many of our beach homes and beach condo rentals are mere steps from the sand and sea, and all are close enough to easily get to the beaches on a daily basis. Lincoln City boasts 7½ miles of beautiful beaches to explore at your own pace. Our vacation rentals also boast impressive features such as gourmet kitchens, entertainment centers, game rooms, hot tubs, ocean views, and more. Just think about your favorite ways to relax and make sure you choose a rental that accommodates your needs.

  • Seafood Sampling. The Pacific Northwest is also known for fresh seafood, and local spots such as Mo’s Restaurant overlooking Siletz Bay offer an excellent sampling of the sea’s bounty with beautiful views of the ocean while you dine. From clam chowder and fresh oysters to an array of creative dishes using crab, cod, shrimp, and more, you might find it hard to sample it all. The Pacific Northwest is known for using a variety of local produce in exceedingly creative ways, though, so even if you’re not into seafood you’re sure to find plenty of delicious things to eat.

  • Shopping. Many out-of-state visitors flock to Oregon for the tax-free shopping, and Lincoln City is an excellent place to score some bargains or one-of-a-kind finds. The Lincoln City Outlets offer discounted merchandise from top brands including American Eagle, Bath & Body Works, Coach, Columbia, Eddie Bauer, Gap, Lane Bryant, Levi’s, Old Navy, The North Face, and many more. There are also countless local artisans, gift stores, craft shops, and other unique vendors to find exceptional items that you won’t find anywhere else.

Whatever time of year you next find yourself in Lincoln City, there will always be plenty to do. The team at A1 Beach Rentals also wants to remind you that we’re going the extra distance in cleaning our rental homes, so when the beaches do reopen, you can rest assured that everything from the large surfaces and appliances to the small doorknobs and light switches will be sanitized. Stay safe and remember that we’ll be here when it’s safe to visit once again.

A-1 Beach Rentals Health and Safety Update

We here at A1 Beach Rentals want you to know we are going the extra distance to sanitize our homes and keep our guests safe. In fact, you’ll find a note in every home detailing what we did that day. For example, the extra careful effort is being made to sanitize all surfaces, doorknobs, light switches, appliances, etc.

Other shops around the coast are taking the same steps. You may also note the Oregon coast has lots of wide-open spaces. The key is social distancing: keeping yourself away from others. Lincoln City’s 7½ miles of coastline sees waves as high as 30 feet and peak winds of more than 100 miles per hour during the height of the season. If you are feeling brave you can get your rain gear on and walk down to D River Wayside or Roads End State Park, or you can view the stormy weather from the comfort of one of our beach condo rentals. The Calm After the Storm

The beach conditions can be particularly beautiful following a storm. There are always all sorts of treasures that wash up on the shore for beachcombers to discover as well. Seashells and agates are sure to wash up, and occasionally antique glass floats from Japan still wash ashore. Just make sure to use common sense when beachcombing after a storm, just as you should when going out during bad weather. Don’t try to walk down to the waterfront in the middle of a dangerous storm and don’t pick up anything if you don’t know what it is first. That way you can ensure happy memories and enjoy the best that Lincoln City has to offer for many years to come! If this deal on winter bookings in Lincoln City is calling your name, you will need to act fast to get the property and dates you desire. Call or go online today and start planning your stay!
